First Easter-egg hunt

2012-04-08_084526 Ashley had her first Easter-egg hunt this Easter, and predictably, it was a huge hit with her.  She was all business, but was really into it.  The eggs are just plastic hollow eggs, most of which contained stickers, while others contained chocolate chips.  The Easter bunny also left us a basket with some toys and treats.

Some pictures and a video of the beginning of her hunt are below.  She had Easter-themed PJs for her to wear (the yellow ones in the photos), but she’d actually worn Christmas-themed ones to bed the night before (“reindeer pants”, her favorite pajamas) and we didn’t think to change her before we took her downstairs.

Bossy

Conversation with Ashley yesterday:

"Ashley, what can I get you to eat?"

"Cheese."

"Cheddar cheese?"

"Provolone cheese."

"We don't have any provolone cheese."

"Buy it!"

Sensory box

A while back Nancy made a “sensory box” for Ashley.  Basically just a box with about four different kinds of beans in it, along with some other small objects and small containers.  Ashley really enjoys it.  She particularly likes burying her farm animals in it:

Stickers

We were shopping with Ashley and to keep her entertained, we gave her some stickers.  Most of them ended up on her shirt.  A little while later, back at home having lunch in our kitchen, I noticed that the stickers were missing from her shirt.  I asked Ashley, “Where did your stickers go?”  She pointed to the front room and said, “Bango.”

I figured she didn’t understand my question and was just telling me the location of the cat.  Well, a little while later I saw the cat:
